MID-MORNING
FISHING SPECIAL OFFERS BIG DISCOUNT:
This is a
4-hour trip!
(Departs
the dock at 9am; returns around 1pm)
It's mid-morning, the water is still and
clear and there's a slight cool breeze blowing. Bring
appropriate clothing as some mornings can be a little chilly until
the sun gets high enough and begins warming-up the day. We'll
leave the dock at 9am on my 24' Carolina Skiff heading toward the
best hot spots for Redfish, Trout and Black Drum. You'll ride in
comfort with a smooth, dry ride. The early morning tide will still
be moving the fish around so we'll stop at 3-4 key places in search
of your catch and fill-up the ice chest. Live or fresh shrimp is
the bait of choice for the morning fishing and since all fish have
an excellent sense of smell, we'll be rigging the line "Texas Style"
so that it will be weedless. Breaking the shrimp tail-off puts
the scent in the water and by casting in front of the fish, the
scent leads them right to it. We return to the dock between noon and
1pm.

REDFISH WEDNESDAYS
- SUPER SPECIAL:
This is a
5-hour trip!
(Departs
the dock at 7am; returns between 1-2pm)
Aransas Bay, Estes Flats and the marsh
areas produce some of
the largest catches found on the Texas coast. My responsibility is to track the
fish, no what bait to throw and help you catch these "big boys"!
Redfish Reds feed
heavily on shrimp and other crustaceans and are well known for their visual presence, acrobatic fights and of course they are
delicious to eat - whether fried, grilled, blackened or broiled.
Getting to these Reds by boat is the preferred method for a great
day of catching them and requires a shallow-draft hull so we can get
into "skinny" water easily. That's why my boat of choice is the
Carolina Skiff. It can float high in the water - even in 1 to
2 feet of water where the Redfish are! Be ready for that
"pole-bending" moment when the Redfish strikes! We leave the
dock at 7am and return within the 1pm - 2pm timeframe.

LUNCH

You know the expression...the early bird
gets the worm...and that's what we are going to do - only it will be
a large Redfish, Trophy Trout or great-on-the-grill Black Drum and
Flounder. Get ready to experience fishing at its finest
aboard my 24' Carolina Skiff! You'll be busy catching fish all
morning when suddenly the feeling starts to hit you - I'M SOOO
HUNGRY - and not for a PBJ either...I'm talking really hungry.
As a reward for my customers, lunch is on me! My favorite
restaurant for lunch will be the next stop and you can choose menu
items in the $10 price range. Whether you're looking for a juicy
hamburger or a chicken fried steak, many restaurants in
Rockport-Fulton offer lunch specials. In this way we can
recapture the day's excitement over a late lunch before you go on
your way. Some of my customers want to get cleaned-up
prior to eating and me too, so lunch anytime before 3pm works best
all around. It’s a great ending to a successful day!
